The product will be warranted and will deliver a consistent performance over a determined durability of 60 years.

 

STRUCTURAL DEFECTS INSURANCE

buildeco are currently in discussion with CRL to provide a 10-year minimum cover period for structural and latent defects insurance on individual or multi-housing projects. Insurance cover will start on the completion date of the property.

REASONS WHY STRUCTURAL DEFECTS INSURANCE ARE REQUIRED

Mortgage lenders:

  • UK mortgage lenders generally require structural defects insurance from a recognised provider before releasing funds. Outright purchasers or investors do not require structural defects insurance on a property.

Peace of mind:

  • A structural defects insurance policy gives peace of mind that the home has been built to an approved standard and passed rigorous site inspections.
